The programme started at 9.45 am and finished at 1 pm. Total 85 patients were participated in the camp 50 Eye drops and 1000 Multivitamin issued to the needy persons by Doctors.19 cataract patients were sent for operation to GH Arni. 25 persons selected for free spectacles and issued on 02.03.14 at PEARL Region Meet at Arni. The program was attended by Ln. Laxmanan , JC Baskaran and JC Narmatha. Local Health Inspector arranged the venue food and snacks for the participants. Kolapaloor PHC Ophthalmic Asst. Thiru Selvaraj attended the camp and screened the patients.

65th Republic Day was celebrated in Govt. Middle School, Marudhalam Village on 26 Jan 2014. On behalf of our Club, prizes were distributed to the children who have won in the games.
Lions Club of Mukundarayapuram conducted Kolam competition on 14.01.2014 (on pongal day) at BHEL Anna Nagar, Mukundarayapuram. 53 inmates participated in the competition. Best 3 were awarded. Ln. Geetha judged the best kolams. All the participants were given Pongal, Participation gift. Event was co-ordinated by Ln.Mohankumar, Ln. Sugumar & Ln. Gopikannan
HEART DIAGNOSIS CAMP
With the able assistance from our Sri. Jayakumar – RC & Madam Mrs. Jayakumar, for Lions Clubs (Mugundarayapuram, Ranipet, Arcot and Walajah) and with Apollo Hospital – Chennai jointly done HEART DIAGNOSIS CAMP at Ranipet Boys High School on Dec 14th and Dec 15th. A big team of Doctors and their assistants and made it success. PDG Sri. Nithya Kumar and Headmaster of Ranipet School Presided the inaugural function. Last week all the four clubs made an extensive work to propagate this function among in and around villages near Ranipet, Arcot, Walajah and Mugundarayapuram. Especially Ranipet president Sri. Bala Krishnan took a collection leadership in arranging this camp. All four clubs had given their extensive help in making this camp as a successful one. From our Club myslf S. Ranagarajan ZC, G. Ravindran , Secretary, Lakshmanan and Kumar too more initiative in running the Camp effectively.
Our Governer LION Sri. Murugappa and Madam Mrs. Murugappa also participated in the Camp on Dec 14th and his eagerly presence and advice gave us additional source of energy to make the camp as a grand success.

280 Persons on 14th Dec and 253 Persons on 15th Dec – Total number of Beneficiaries – 533 Persons
Free Heart Diagnosis done. It includes, B.P test, Sugar test, ECG test and Echo test. The total test per person works out to Rs. 3000, at Apollo Hospital, Chennai Approximately. The total benefit to the public works out to 533×3000 = 1,59,900 which is as equivalent to the Rs. 1,60,000 project cost as realized by all four clubs.
Out of these 533 beneficiaries, 42 persons are identified for Surgery which includes 20 person identified for angio also. The 42 person were advised to report to Apollo Hospital, Chennai for further proceeding.

As per our District Governor’s Directive that EVERYDAY ONE SERVICE programme, we provided one day food to 50 old age people who are inmates of Mahatma Gandhi Trust Old Age Home located at Arcot.
- IPP Ln. P. Mohan Kumar conducted Training program titled “People Development” . 25 executives attended the training program.
- 2 units of blood co-ordinated at CMC hospital 0n 25.10.2013 for a senior executive of BHEL / Trichy.
- Treasurer donated Blood on the eve of Gandhi Jayanthi on 02.10.2013 organised by LC of Walaja.
- 17 units of blood co-ordinated to a Doctor from Jummu & Kashmir who is undergoing treatment at CMC Hospital. IPP Ln. Mohan Kumar donated one unit of blood.
We celebrated charterday celebrations on 14/11/2013 along with the official visit of District Governor. During the visit we donated Rs 1000/- each to two school students as financial assitatance, 50 Kg of rice to two poor people-each 25Kgs, Rs 3000 to athmagnana sabha of ponnai on the eve of krithigai.
On 08 Sep 2013 we were allotted to do a service as per one day one service by our district which is one of our district governor’s programme. On that day we distributed STITCHED UNIFORMS WITH LUNCH to 35 Students of MD Primary School, Keeranatham Village.
